Terminal 2 parking at a glance
Heathrow Terminal 2 parking covers four operational products plus the closed Priority Park & Ride. The cheapest is Park & Ride, two miles north on the Eastern Perimeter Road, shared with Terminal 3. The closest is Terminal Parking (the renamed Short Stay), attached to the T2 building with a 2 to 5-minute covered walk. Meet & Greet drops at Level 1 of the Terminal Parking car park with damage cameras present. Valet drops at the forecourt with the £7 drop-off charge waived. The September 2024 and 2025 renames (Long Stay to Park & Ride, Short Stay to Terminal Parking, Business to Priority Park & Ride) are now active on Heathrow's own site, though airport signage still shows the old names in places.

Pre-booked rates on Park & Ride and Meet & Greet are typically much lower than the drive-up gate rate; pre-book on Heathrow's own site for the best price. Park & Ride at Terminal 2
The Park & Ride for Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 is a single shared car park on the Eastern Perimeter Road at TW6 2SB. A T2 booking and a T3 booking sit in the same physical lot; the shuttle bus calls at both terminals on the outward and return legs, so the choice of T2 or T3 at booking simply tells Heathrow which terminal you intend to fly from. Park & Ride is the cheapest official Heathrow parking product and the right call for any trip of more than a day if convenience is not the priority.
Drive-up prices start at £46.80 for the first 24 hours and £37.40 for each additional 24 hours. Pre-booked online the daily rate drops to £11 to £15 a day depending on lead time. The free courtesy bus runs every 15 minutes between 04:00 and 23:30, with the door-to-door T2 transfer taking around 15 minutes. Outside the operating window, transfers run on request via 020 8745 6261. On return from your flight, leave the T2 arrivals hall and walk to bus stop 6 on the T2 forecourt, where the Park & Ride buses collect you back to the car park.
The 29-minute free window is the most useful T2-specific point on this page. Drive into the Park & Ride, take a ticket, drive out within 29 minutes and you pay nothing. This is the answer to "where can I pick someone up at Terminal 2 for free", because forecourt pick-up is not permitted and the £7 charge applies to any forecourt entry. Terminal Parking at T2
Terminal Parking, the renamed Short Stay (effective 29 September 2025), is the multi-storey car park attached to the Terminal 2 building, with a covered, step-free walk of 2 to 5 minutes to the check-in hall or the arrivals exit. The postcode is TW6 1EW and the same approach road serves both the car park and the kerbside drop-off forecourt. Heathrow's hourly tariff structure applies.

Stays of 9 hours or more can be pre-booked online up to 2 hours before arrival; pre-booked rates vary by lead time and dates but are typically lower than the gate equivalent. Stays under 9 hours pay the gate rate on exit at one of the ticket machines or the exit barrier.
Terminal Parking at T2 is the right call for short stops where the door matters more than the price. A two-hour collection at the gate rate is £20, less than the £46.80 first-day drive-up at Park & Ride for the same window if you cannot wait for a bus. Twenty-four hours at the gate is £98, which is materially more than two days pre-booked at Park & Ride; the price flips against Terminal Parking once you cross a day. Meet & Greet at T2
Meet & Greet at Terminal 2 drops at the dedicated reception on Level 1 of the Terminal Parking car park, not on the forecourt. Enter the car park on Level 4 from the departures approach road and follow the signs down the spiral ramps to Level 1, where the marked bays in pink sit in the centre section at the front. A valet meets you at the bay, takes the keys, takes 360-degree damage limitation photos of the car, and parks it at a secure on-airport compound. On your return, the car is brought back to the same reception at the time agreed at booking.
Drive-up rates start from £138.60 a day on Heathrow's own service. Pre-booked through Heathrow's site, the starting advance band is £143.40, with shorter stays often cheaper per day; third-party Park Mark accredited operators can run lower on advance bookings. The fixed 360-degree camera record is standard at every Meet & Greet reception (T2, T3, and T5); Terminal 4 has had no Meet & Greet since its multi-storey closed for redevelopment in June 2026.
The common confusion at T2 is between Meet & Greet (reception in the car park at Level 1) and Valet (drop at the forecourt). Both are operational at T2; the choice is whether you want the forecourt convenience and the £7 drop-off waiver, or the Meet & Greet damage cameras and the typically lower advance pricing. Valet at T2
Valet at Terminal 2 is the forecourt-drop variant. Drive directly to the dedicated Valet lane on the T2 forecourt, hand the keys to the valet, and walk straight into the check-in hall. The car is parked at the airport's official secure parking facilities. The £7 forecourt drop-off charge is waived in full for Valet bookings, which is the meaningful financial advantage versus Meet & Greet on a like-for-like stay.
Terminal 2 is one of three Heathrow terminals where Valet operates (T2, T3, and T5). Terminal 4 does not run Valet. On shorter stays Valet and Meet & Greet are usually priced close together on Heathrow's online quote widget, with Valet a little higher because of the forecourt convenience. There is no flat from-price; Heathrow quotes per date and length of stay. On return the car is brought back to a dedicated area of the Terminal Parking car park rather than the forecourt itself.
Priority Park & Ride at T2 (closure status)
Priority Park & Ride at Terminal 2 is currently closed for operational reasons. The site that served Terminals 2 and 3 (formerly Business Parking, renamed Priority Park & Ride on 29 September 2025) is not accepting new bookings, drive-up stays, or pre-booked stays. Passengers with affected existing bookings have been contacted by Heathrow about alternative arrangements. Heathrow has not published a reopening date for the T2/T3 site.
Only the Terminal 5 Priority Park & Ride remains operational at the time of writing. If your trip from T2 needs the Priority Park & Ride product specifically (a 5 to 7-minute covered walk for 1 to 5-night stays at the higher business-traveller rates), there is currently no T2 equivalent open. Driving to Terminal 2: postcodes and access
Terminal 2 sits in the central terminal area on the north side of the airport. Access is from M4 Junction 4 via the M4 spur road and the Heathrow Boundary Tunnel, or from the M25 (via Junction 14) joining the M4 eastbound at Junction 4b. The A4 (Bath Road) is the older parallel route, useful when the M4 is blocked between Junctions 3 and 4. There are no tolls on any Heathrow approach.
The two sat nav postcodes you need at T2:
- TW6 1EW for the Terminal Parking car park, the kerbside drop-off forecourt, the Meet & Greet reception on Level 1, and the Valet lane. The same approach road serves all four. Follow signs for Terminal 2 Departures from the tunnel exit.
- TW6 2SB for the shared T2/T3 Park & Ride on the Eastern Perimeter Road. The car park sits two miles north of the airport. Take the courtesy bus to T2 from there.
The route to Terminal Parking from M4 Junction 4 in practical terms: exit at Junction 4, take the M4 spur road for around 1.5 miles, keep right in Lane 3, follow signs for the Heathrow Boundary Tunnel and Short Stay car parks. Through the tunnel keep right, past the Central Bus Station, onto Cosmopolitan Way. Keep right again as the road ramps up to Terminal 2 Departures and the Terminal Parking entry on Level 4. The route to the Park & Ride is the same M4 J4 approach, but follow Park & Ride signs and stay on the Eastern Perimeter Road rather than entering the tunnel. How to choose for a T2 trip
The decision rule for picking the right T2 parking product, expressed as a sequence of questions. Each cuts the options down further.
Are you collecting someone, or parking a car? For a collection, use the Park & Ride 29-minute free window: drive in, wait for your passenger to take the free bus from T2, drive out within 29 minutes for no charge. For anything longer than a quick hand-off, pick a product below.
How long is the stay? Under two hours, Terminal Parking at the gate rate (from £8 for 29 minutes, £20 for two hours). Two hours to a day, Terminal Parking still wins if the door matters more than the price. One day to a week, pre-booked Park & Ride is significantly cheaper. Over a week, pre-booked Park & Ride still wins on the official products; off-airport operators on the perimeter roads sometimes come in lower, with the trade-off of a slower transfer.
How much does convenience matter? If you would rather hand the keys over than walk to a bus, Meet & Greet on Level 1 of Terminal Parking (with the T2 damage cameras). If you want the absolute fastest entry and the £7 drop-off waived, Valet on the forecourt. Otherwise the bus from Park & Ride is fine and saves £100-plus on a week's stay.
The T2-specific facts that change the answer for some readers:
- Priority Park & Ride is currently closed at T2; if you are used to booking the Business product for 1 to 5-night trips at a closer walk than Park & Ride, the equivalent is not currently available and Terminal Parking is the closest replacement.
- Park & Ride is shared with T3; a connection booked through T2 and T3 (different airlines on different itineraries) parks in the same lot regardless.
- Meet & Greet at T2 has damage cameras; T4 does not. If you have any past dispute with an airport valet, T2 is the safer of the four.
- Valet is available at T2; T4 does not have it. The £7 drop-off waiver makes Valet the only product where you can pull onto the forecourt for free.
